Nabla Wind Hub at the AEE’s Wind Farm Operation & Maintenance conferences
Two weeks ago, we had the pleasure of participating in the technical conference of the Spanish Wind Energy Association (AEE) that took place in Madrid, where along with other wind industry experts, the latest technological advances and future challenges of the wind industry were discussed and analyzed during the sessions.
Taking into account that Spain is the second largest wind energy player in Europe and a reference in the wind market, these technical conferences are one of the most important annual meetings at European level in which more than 180 industry experts gather to discuss the improvements in operation and maintenance of the Spanish wind farms, and learn about different suitable O&M practices that become a differentiating factor when turning wind farms into more productive and profitable.
During the conference, topics such as: the improvement of production through the u se of data; social and environmental returns of wind farms; the application of artificial intelligence for monitoring and optimizing wind farms; repowering and circular economy; life extension strategies; and how to minimize the factors that negatively affect the availability of wind farms, among others, were addressed.
Nabla Wind Hub participated in the sessions as a guest expert in wind farm life extension, through the presentation of Adrián López, Lead Life Extension engineer at NWH, who presented his project on crack propagation analysis in aluminum rings, and how to save on O&M through different strategies thus extending the availability of the turbine throughout the life of the wind farm.
Thank you AEE for counting on us once again and thanks to all of you who have come to meet us.
