Successful collaboration between Nabla Wind Hub and AYRO Oceanwings®

Nabla Wind Hub is proud to share the collaboration between eTa Blades, its Italian subsidiary and composite manufacturer, and AYRO, the French industrial start-up that recently successfully equipped the Canopée vessel with four Oceanwings®, making it the first hybrid industrial cargo ship powered by wind.

With a height of 37m and a surface area of 363m2 each, this automated, lowerable, and patented vertical wingsail technology will help to reduce C02 emissions by cutting fossil fuel consumption.

In our factory, we have manufactured some of the key components that make up the Oceanwings® system, and the prototypes are now installed on Canopée.

We are delighted to have participated in such a meaningful project for us in which innovation and sustainability come together to meet the future of naval transportation, and in which wind energy continues to play a significant role.
