iSpin can now be used by the GSE in Italy to calculate the missed wind production

Until now in Italy, when there are no suitable anemometers on site, the calculation of the missed production for wind farms curtailments due to grid capacity limitations has been done by the GSE using some reference anemometers which were sometimes located in positions even very far from the plants, with an effect often penalizing for the operators.

It is now possible to open an agreement with the GSE for the calculation of the missed production by entering on their portal the data measured by the iSpin anemometers.

This has been possible because:

• The iSpin data can be remotely accessible by the GSE, through dedicated access that nabla wind hub, with the consent of our customer, can provide
• nabla wind bub provides GSE with iSpin calibration certificates for each specific turbine model, in accordance with IEC 61400-12-2
