We reaffirm our commitment to diversity, inclusion, and equality
The recent decision by the U.S. Administration to eliminate Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) programs from all federal companies and their suppliers marks a concerning step backward in the fight for equal opportunities in the workplace. This executive order, signed on January 21, 2025, not only dismantles DEI initiatives within the federal government but also repeals the historic Executive Order 11246, in place since 1965, which protected workers from employment discrimination based on race, gender, religion, sexual orientation, or gender identity.
As a company, we firmly stand by our values: we believe in the power of diversity as a driver of growth, innovation, and fairness. Inclusion is neither a trend nor a dispensable business strategy, it is a fundamental pillar for building fair and competitive work environments.
While some companies have begun to scale back or eliminate their diversity programs in response to this new policy, we reaffirm our unwavering commitment to equity in all its forms. We will continue to promote policies that ensure a diverse, inclusive, and safe workplace, where talent is valued for its capabilities and not limited by biases or imposed barriers.
Furthermore, we recognize that such measures can have a global impact, not just in the U.S. but also in how companies operate and establish their social responsibility standards. For this reason, we call on the business community to stand firm and not roll back the progress made in inclusion and diversity.
At a time when equity is being challenged, the answer must be greater commitment. We will continue working toward a corporate culture where diversity is not only accepted but celebrated as a key asset for success and sustainability.
