Nabla Wind Hub attends the Future Energy Summit Iberia event
Yesterday, we attended the Future Energy Summit Iberia #FESIberia event, where leaders in the renewable energy sector such as Iberdrola, Acciona, Engie, EDP Renewables, and Vestas, among others, provided a detailed vision of the challenges and opportunities we face as a country in the energy transition in Europe.
During the event, the importance of commitment, legal security, and visibility was emphasized to achieve net-zero emissions targets. Additionally, the need to address not only technical and regulatory aspects but also social aspects to enable the sustainable development of future renewable projects was highlighted.
Here are some of the key points that were brought to the table at the conference during the day:
- We need to talk more about consuming clean energy to boost the demand for sustainable electric energy at competitive prices.
- There is a lack of labor and resources; we must incentivize and work towards retaining local talent.
- The volatility of the environment demands that we have flexibility and specialized teams to enable constant change and risk management.
- We need government support to accompany the development of renewable energies and mitigate the impact on the final consumer’s cost.
- Communities are a key factor in the development of clean energy, and we must promote dialogue with them.
- The main goal is the decarbonization of the economy, not the tripling of energy capacity.
The Future Energy Summit Iberia has provided a crucial platform to discuss the future of energy in Spain, highlighting the fundamental role of collaboration between all sector actors to achieve a successful and sustainable energy transition.
We sincerely thank the organizers for including us in this significant event. Together, with unity and strength, we can overcome the challenges ahead and pave the way for a greener, more sustainable future.
